Newborn sessions have my heart, my entire business centers around them, they are the big event! Maternity and milestone sessions are almost always booked together with a newborn session. You cannot put a number on capturing the budding bond between a family and their new baby, it is truly priceless.
As your DC newborn photographer my newborn sessions are all about the connection between you and your baby. My sessions are baby-led with gentle posing, which leads to photos with beautiful, natural connection. I also capture timeless, natural newborn portraits as well as your baby's tiny details.
Newborn sessions are 2 hours in length and ideally take place between 8-14 days old. The session can be done in-home or in-studio. You will have access to my client closet and a list of preferred hair and makeup artists for a full-service, luxury experience.
Following our session together, we will meet again virtually for your gallery reveal ordering appointment. My job is not complete until you have something to show for your experience. Whether you choose a custom gallery wall to enjoy everyday or a heirloom album to pass down to your kids, I am here to help you preserve your family's memories!
Generally I enter a family's life as they are welcoming their first child into the world. Naturally, as time passes my newborn clients grow into families. I am honored that they welcome me back into their lives to capture their family year after year.
Unlike my newborn sessions which are slower passed, my family sessions are high energy.
Playful banter and age-appropriate games lead to photos with beautiful, natural connection and joy. Family sessions always feel a bit chaotic, but I am armed with tips and tricks to coax genuine laughter and joy out of your children. As a mom of 2 little ones myself I know that is what I want to remember!
I also know that family sessions can be stressful, especially for moms. I try to relieve that stress as much as possible by having a planning call, providing you with dresses from my client closet and sending a hair and makeup artist out to get you ready in the comfort of your own home on the day of our session. This full service approach leads to a more enjoyable experience for everyone!
