I met this sweet family out at Oatlands Historic House and Gardens in Leesburg in their final weeks as a family of 3 to capture some sweet memories of this time before their baby boy arrived! As your Northern VA Maternity Photographer I find so much joy in capturing the fleeting time before your baby arrives earth side. Oatlands Historic House and Gardens is one of my absolute favorite locations for maternity sessions. There is the backdrop of the historic house, as well as a magical gated garden that gives off some serious secret garden vibes!

Motherhood is made up of a thousand fleeting moments. The way they reach for you without thinking. The way they fit perfectly in your arms one day… and suddenly don’t the next.

These portraits are more than photographs to me. They are reminders of what it felt like to be needed, loved, climbed on, held tightly, and be consumed by motherhood in the most beautiful way.
