Happy First Birthday, Sweet Baby Chance!
Looking at these photos makes my heart happy! Chance is my first baby client who I have followed from pregnancy, to newborn to one year! Capturing memories of the first year of your baby’s life and watching them grow brings me so much joy. I can’t thank Chance’s parents enough for trusting me with their families memories during Chance’s first year!
Chance is one lucky little guy, he lives in a beautiful home in Del Ray, Alexandria with his Mom, Dad, Big Sis and doggy! I loved that they chose to have his One Year Session at home where we were able to capture him naturally in his own environment.
After spending some time in his favorite spots inside the house, we moved out to the backyard for his first birthday cake smash! I love when my clients include a cake smash as a way to celebrate and commemorate their little one’s first birthday. It’s always entertaining to see their reactions to the cake, the sweet frosting and whether they dive right in or approach it with caution.
Chance was interested in his cake, but he didn’t really go all-in on smashing it. He was very happy sitting in the grass eating the fresh berries off the top one by one. It’s crazy that the smiley, little boy with a toothy grin in the photos below was a tiny, 7-pound newborn baby just one year ago!
