Here’s a secret, you don’t need a big house or a nursery of any kind to take really beautiful newborn photos in the comfort of your own home.
What if I told you all of the beautiful photos below were taken in a small, 1 bedroom apartment. You probably wouldn’t believe me, but they were! All I need to create beautiful newborn photos for you is access to a window with great natural light. Don’t get me wrong, I love adorable nurseries and finding sweet spots to capture memories around your home, but, especially in the DC area, not everyone has the space for that and I’m here to tell you that that is OK!
I recently added a small posing bean bag to my travel kit. It allows me choose the best window in your home to capture studio-like newborn portraits. I love the flexibility it allows me to capture precious memories of your newborn baby!
